Immaculate Heart of Mary : A School Built And Sustained On Faith
In 1998 when the government of Newfoundland and Labrador was considering abolishing Catholic schools in the province, a small group of 20 students in Corner Brook, Newfoundland decided to take matters into their own hands. Under the leadership of a determined parent of seven children, they met each Friday to pray for one hour before the Blessed Sacrament, to keep their school open. When they heard the news that their school was to be closed, they knew that Our Blessed Mother had another plan. Sure enough she did!
